Lightweight Sport Rifle
LSR - a lightweight rifle shot from the standing position - is the sucessor to pistol shooting in the UK and, being fairly minimalist in terms of equipment, is often seen as an attractive entry point for newcomers to the sport. The OSRC has a very lively LSR section with several teams shooting in various postal leagues.
This year, by way of an experiment, there will be some internal competitions which will be competed for by both LSR and Prone shooters - this isn't as daft as it sounds, as for a handicap competition you are in effect shooting against your own average. Look out for more details nearer the time!
